I’m Aaron, I’m a 1-year-old male and have been here at the Mayhew since I was sadly abandoned by my previous owner.

I have a shiny and rich jet-black coat, and with my striking amber eyes some say I look a bit like a panther! And like a panther, you might at first find me a little elusive as I spend a lot of my time curled up inside my bed. But as you approach you’ll soon learn that I’m a real pussycat after all!

I’m a little shy so I’ll stay in my comfort zone but happily let you show me some love – I adore a stroke on the forehead and I like it when you talk to me softly, it makes me feel relaxed and helps build my trust. I love to be stroked and I’ll nuzzle into your hand for more once I feel at ease!

I have a great interest in humans but my shy nature holds me back a little, so I need plenty of encouragement and TLC. I’m looking for a new home where I can have my own space when I need it – a nice comfy bed for me to cosy up in – and some subtle and caring family members to get the very best out of my warm and gentle personality.
