Hello, I’m Crackers, a 10-year-old female and I’m here because my previous owners decided they didn’t want to look after me any more.
I’m a very shy & nervous girl, especially around strangers so I’ve barely moved from the safety of my bed since I arrived here at the Mayhew. I’m intrigued to know what’s going on around the place so you’ll often spot my eyes peering through a gap in my bed linen, but I haven’t yet gained the courage to venture out for a proper look!
I haven’t been shown huge amounts of love in my life so I’m a little wary around people and try to keep myself to myself, but if I am approached gently I have to admit I enjoy a soft stroke of the forehead. I think I could get used to more of that, given the chance. I remember my younger & more carefree days as a lap cat; I’d like to have that comfort and care again someday soon.
I’m looking for a patient owner who is able to dedicate the time and effort to get to know me, and encourage me settle in. A quiet household with no young children or other pets would be ideal.
