Hello my name is Ginni

I'm a two-year-old female, mixed breed who arrived at The Mayhew having been rescued from Romania. I'm an independent dog but I'm also very intelligent and know commands such as “sit”, “wait”, “come here”, “leave it”. I'm particularly responsive when tempted with food!

I enjoy trips out in the car and my daily off lead walks in the park. I will happily meet and greet other dogs but I can't help being a bit on the bossy side. I am well behaved in the house, I love to watch what’s going on in the kitchen, keeping you company but also prefer to be left in peace when I'm sleeping on my bed. I'm toilet trained and can be left alone for upto four hours without any problems.

 

I have to confess I do have bit of a stubborn streak, I like to get my own way and will growl and snap if not handled correctly. This is partially due to a painful medical condition I suffer from - arthritis of my spine. I can be brought to the Mayhew for free treatment for any problems relating to this existing condition. I would like to find a kind and confident experienced dog-owner to work with me in a consistent way, I have a tendency to become a one person dog so ideally I would like to find a single owner or understanding couple, with no children visiting.

 

My experienced new guardian will have the time and patience to help me settle in and feel secure. They will be taking on a thirteen-year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.
