Hello my name is Hamish

I'm a three-year-old, male Crossbreed, who arrived at The Mayhew as a stray.  I'm very confident and friendly and I'm very responsive to training. I'm a playful boy, I enjoy playing with my toys and I also love cuddles and giving and receiving affection.

I'm not keen on other dogs so I will need to be walked on a long line and wear a muzzle on my one hour daily off lead walks in the park. My new guardians will be expected to take me to training classes and to work on my socialisation around other dogs. I'm an extremely affectionate dog and I've been told I will make a fantastic companion for an experienced person. I would prefer not to live with children. My new guardians will be taking on a twelve year commitment which must not be taken lightly.

Update May 2008 Hamish is still waiting to find a home to call his own. A very polite dog who has the manners of a gentleman, sensible and well-behaved he will make a loyal and loving companion.. His behaviour towards other dogs is also improving.
