The Mayhew Animal Home are currently looking for new Foster Carers to assist in the care of dogs, cats and rabbits both in The Mayhew and on our Pet Refuge scheme. Fostering helps to get an animal into a less stressful environment and frees up space at The Mayhew for other animals in need of care. However good our accommodation is, it can never substitute a real home, and we therefore aim to ensure that animals do not have unnecessarily long stays with us. Fostering provides an animal in need, temporary care and accommodation. It is a very rewarding role but requires a high level of time, emotional commitment and patience. All equipment e.g. bedding, food, bowls, and costs are covered (with the exception of travel costs). If you are interested in becoming a dog foster carer, please read our Dog Fostering Introduction. If after reading this you feel that you could be a dog foster carer, please request a dog fostering application from our Dog Foster Co-ordinator by email or on 0208 968 2346. If you are interested in becoming a cat foster carer, please read our Cat Fostering Introduction. If after reading this you feel that you could be a cat foster carer, please request a cat fostering application from our Cat Foster Co-ordinator by email or on 0208 968 2351. Required Skills:
