My name is Hazel and this is my son Fiver. We’re both brown and white Dutch rabbits who came to the Mayhew because the man we lived with didn’t look after us properly. Fiver and I are much happier than we were but we would simply love to have our own place but haven’t been lucky yet. This might be because I was very nervous of people at first but am a lot better now. I always run up to you when I am offered fruit and vegetables and will take a particularly tasty piece from your hand. I can be gently stroked on the back and forehead but I don’t like being picked up and can be skittish.
Fiver is also happy to take fruit and vegetables from your hand and doesn’t mind having his nose and back stroked. He is fairly confident though and can be picked up without too much fuss. Fiver really likes exploring and playing in the garden and gets me to join in all his games.
We would love to meet you so come and see us so we can say hello rabbit to person!
If you're interested in offering Hazel and Fiver a loving, fully-committed, lifetime home or would like to know more about her, please visit The Mayhew Animal Home any Wednesday to Saturday between 1pm - 3.30pm
