Mr Chocolate

Hi, my name’s Mr Chocolate and I'm only 3-years-old. Sadly I was a victim of a serious case of animal hoarding. I was recently rescued along with 35 of my brothers and sisters and 2 dogs after our owner died.

Conditions were very poor for us and as a result many of us came to The Mayhew in a terrible state. Some of us had in-growing claws and most of us were severely underweight and malnourished.

We’ve all coped with the experience differently but many of us, including me, are quite nervous and scared, having suffered such terrible neglect and now trying to cope with a dramatic change in circumstances.

I've spent time in a foster home and showed a more relaxed and playful side to my character. My confidence is slowly improving so i'm looking for a caring and gentle new owner who will help to rehabilitate and give me a normal life.

I've always lived indoors but it would be nice to have a small garden or a large safe roof terrace for me to enjoy. I've always been surrounded by other cats so I'd love to go to a new home with an existing cat.
