Tixie and Tango

Hello, I’m Tixie, I’m a 14-year-old female and this is my son, Tango – he’s 13. We found ourselves here at the Mayhew because sadly our owner didn’t want us anymore.

We’re a real couple of old-timers and sadly the years are showing; I have a fragile and willowy figure and poor Tango has a few lumps, bumps and grazes that he’s having to wear this plastic collar for (he doesn’t look too happy does he?!).

Actually, he’s a very loving and gentle boy, although he’s quite shy around strangers. But all it takes is a very gentle and friendly approach to get close for a nice fuss and cuddle, which he happily returns.

As for me, I’m an ultra-affectionate girl; I just can’t get enough fuss and I love being around people. I’m no shrinking violet and even if you’re a new face, I’ll climb straight upon your chest to ask you for a big cuddle! And I’ll happily sit there for ages, snuggling into your neck and giving you lots of love and kisses to keep you with me for as long as possible! Although I feel fit as a fiddle I am on medication for my thyroid, so my new owners will need to be prepared to continue giving the medication to me

We’re looking for a new owner in a quiet, laid-back and very loving household. As we’re in our twilight years, we prefer our humans likewise: children are just too lively for us and we tend to shy away from them. Although we’re elderly, we’re by no means past-it and we’d really love to have a small outdoor area, like a garden or terrace to enjoy when the weather warms up!
