Hello, my name is Jacko

I am an eight month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier and I was brought into The Mayhew when my owner got ill and could no longer look after me. I am presently sharing a kennel with Pumpkin and we get on very well together because I am a very friendly and happy-go-lucky boy. I love going to the park and playing with lots of doggy pals but I do come back when I am called. I pull a bit on lead when I first get out but I soon settle down and walk nicely. I am housetrained and can be left for a maximum of four hours providing I have something to keep me occupied.

I am a smart little guy too and I know all the basic commands like sit, stay, down and am very eager to learn more. I love people and am very playful but I enjoy a cuddle as much as a new game

I am looking for a forever home with someone who has owned dogs before and are fully aware of the hard work and commitment involved in caring for them. Someone who has researched my breed, knowing how much mental and physical stimulation I will need. I love children and can live with even young ones, providing they are used to bouncy young dogs. I could also live with another dog if it was a good match. I do have one odd little habit: an obsession with my water bowl, so you would have to ‘anchor’ it down when I’m left alone until I learn it is just for drinking from! Anyway apart from that I will make a fun-loving and loyal pet for any family. So don’t hang around just come down and mention my name!
