Pumpkin
Hello, my name is Pumpkin
I am a twelve month old female, crossbreed. I came into The Mayhew after being abandoned on the streets of London.
I know I have a very long tongue but it’s just as well because I just L-U-R-V-E giving lots of doggy kisses. As well as being really affectionate and cuddly, I am also a highly intelligent girl and love to learn. I know all the basic commands and when I attend training classes, I’m the star of the show! I am housetrained and sleep happily through the night on my sleeping bag. I can also be let off lead in the park, although I am cautious around other dogs and strangers, I always come back when I’m called. Still, I do like boy dogs and I share my kennel with Prince, who I adore and get on really well with.
I am looking for loving new guardians who are experienced dog owners and will give me time to settle down. Preferably my new family will have owned a guarding breeds before. They will need to continue my training and socialisation and take me to training classes. I could live with teenagers over 16 years but due to my protective nature of my handler I wouldn’t be suitable to live with young children or a household with visiting young kids. I could share my new home with a male dog providing he was a good role model for me and our introduction went well.
I am an energetic girl so I will need one to two hours off-lead exercise a day in an open space or park. If you understand that taking me home will be a fifteen year commitment and are willing to put the work in with me, I promise I will make you a pet to be proud of.
Hope to see you soon
Pumpkin x
