Hello, my name is Storm

I am a five year old small female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I am a very sweet girl. I came into The Mayhew when my owners decided they simply no longer wanted me.

My foster mum says that it only took me 20 minutes to settle down and she cannot believe how well trained I am. I sleep quietly on my blanket on the sofa at night and I am fully housetrained. I sometimes get up early to say ‘Good morning’ but as soon as my foster mum says ‘Back to bed,’ I return to the living room at once and wait patiently until she is ready to get up. I know all my basic commands and I take my treats gently. My favourite thing is to snuggle up for a nice long cuddle. I have been left alone for three and a half hours without any fuss. Although I am full of energy, I am good on the lead and will walk at your pace. I like to say ‘hello’ to people but I’m not all over you and I am usually fine with other dogs providing they are good with me.

I am looking for a lifetime home with owners who will be prepared to give me a minimum of one to two hours off lead exercise daily in a park or open space. My new guardians need not be experienced dog owners but they must have researched my breed to understand what Staffies need. I could live with children as I am a gentle girl but not toddlers as I love to jump on your lap for a cuddle and could easily knock one over. I could also live with another male dog providing we were a good match. My new guardians will be taking on a ten-year commitment, which must not be taken lightly, and they may have to take me to training classes depending on their experience but my foster mum says I am really well behaved and she has never known a dog so full of love.
