Sude

Hello, my name is Sude

I am a two year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I arrived at The Mayhew after I was found abandoned on the busy streets of London. I didn’t cope very well living on the dog section so I am now in a foster home where my true personality has shone through. I’ve settled down very quickly and my foster dad says that I am a real sweetie who is very easy to care for and has a lot of love to give.

I am very clean and calm in the house although I always enjoy a good game with my foster dad and playing with my toys. I adore my teddy bear best of all! I am a very cuddly girl and my favourite thing is to curl up close in the evening while watching TV but I am not demanding for attention. I love my food. I will sit and wait for my meal and I take treats very gently as I know it is rude to snatch and my foster dad says I am one of the politest dogs he has ever known. I am good at night and settle down in the hall outside the bedroom and you don’t hear a peep out of me until it is time to get up. I love my walks and love it when people stop to make a fuss of me, I’m a good girl and don’t jump all over them. I behave well on lead and will stop and sit at the kerb until we can cross the road. I enjoy one hour of off lead exercise everyday and a short on lead one last thing at night when I admit I can sometimes get over excited if there are cats or foxes about and will try to chase them. I get on well with other dogs I meet when out and about and I could possibly live with another male dog providing we were the right match. I wouldn’t be happy living with cats.

I am now looking for a new forever home with someone who will give me a minimum of one hour of off lead exercise every day. I would be happy to live with someone who works fulltime providing I’m not left alone for longer than four to five hours without a break e.g. by hiring a dog walker, pet sitter or coming home at lunch time etc. My new guardians will have owned dogs before and will have researched my breed type. I am a gentle girl and I would be happy to live with children of seven years of age and upwards. Although I am a smart girl and have picked up a lot of doggy manners in my foster home, I would still enjoy going to training classes as I really love to learn new things. My new guardians will be taking on a thirteen-year commitment, which must not be taken lightly. If you are looking for a lovely family dog then look no further.

Hope to see you soon
