Hello, my name is Alanis

I'm a six month old female, Staffordshire Bull Terrier Crossbreed. I arrived at The Mayhew because my previous owner decided she no longer wanted me.

I am a sweet natured little girl who will grow to be a medium sized dog. Like any puppy I知 a bundle of energy and full of mischief but I also lack self confidence. I知 very affectionate and I知 friendly with everyone I meet. I知 toilet trained and I know the basic commands but I still have plenty of things to learn so I will need plenty of time and dedication from my new guardians to continue my training and also perfect my manners as I get older and more confident.

I would like to find a new home with an active person or family who will take me to training classes and will make sure I get two, thirty minute, off lead walks per day whilst I'm still young, building up to a minimum of one to two hours of off lead exercise every day once I'm fully grown. My new guardians will have, as adults, owned dogs before. I can live with other dogs providing they have been well trained, are calm and will be a good role model for me. Any children in my new home will need to be over six years of age. With training I could live with a cat providing they are confident around dogs and will stand up to me otherwise I can't resist the temptation to play and chase.

If you're looking for an active and fun loving dog then I知 the girl for you but please remember you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog; you'll be taking on a fifteen year commitment which must not be taken lightly.
