Bailey
Hello, my name is Bailey
I am a two year old male, Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I arrived at The Mayhew because my previous owner felt he no longer had the time to care for me properly.
I am a very friendly boy and I have lovely manners when I meet new people. I'm a firm favourite at the nursing home which I visit regularly with my carers. I am affectionate and calm but I also enjoy a good game. I am housetrained, I know all the usual commands and respond well to them. I get on well with most dogs but I can take a dislike to some, for this reason I will need to wear a muzzle and 50 foot plus longline on my daily hour long off lead walks in a park or open space.
I would like to find a home with someone who is experienced with dogs and will be confident dealing with my nature around other dogs. I will need to be the only dog in my new home. I enjoy the company of children and I can live with children of all ages. As it is not yet known how long I cope being left alone I’m looking for a home where there is someone around for most of the day. My new guardians will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog; they will be taking on a twelve year commitment which must not be taken lightly.
I hope to see you soon
