Hello, my name is Foxy

I am a two year old male, Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I arrived at The Mayhew when my previous owners decided they no longer wanted me.

I am a very friendly boy with a sweet and affectionate nature. I’m very intelligent and I know all the usual commands which I respond very well to. I'm a clever boy and I also know quite a few tricks, including spin left and spin right and rollover. I enjoy learning and I also love doing agility. I’m friendly and lively but I am also very sensitive and I lack self confidence in new situations. Babies and toddlers make me anxious. I get along well with most dogs however I can be unpredictable with some, for this reason I need to wear a muzzle and a 50ft plus longline on my daily hour long off lead walks in the park. I am housetrained and I can be left alone for up to four hours without any problems.

I am now looking for an all adult home with someone who is experienced with dogs and will be confident in dealing with my nature around other dogs. They will be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, as they will be taking on a twelve year commitment which must not be taken likely. I would be happy to live with someone who works part-time. I will need to be the only dog in my new home.
