Mowgli

 

Hello, my name is Mowgli,

I'm a 10 year old male, Miniature Pinscher Crossbreed. I came to the Mayhew when my previous owner moved into a property which doesn't allow pets.

I am now in a foster home and foster mum and dad say I am a very quiet and peaceful dog who loves nothing more than a kiss and a cuddle. I greet everyone with a huge wag of the tail although I can be a little shy with large men. I am good with other dogs and I am also good with children of all ages although I can be shy when I first meet children I've not met before.I now share my foster home with a female German Shepherd Cross, who is my new best friend. I walk well on lead, although I sometimes bark when I want to meet another dog but once we are introduced my foster mum says my doggy manners are perfect. I walk nicely by your side. I am a little nervous of very busy traffic but I travel nicely in the car. I can be left alone as I just curl up and go to sleep with my doggy housemate. I do bark to warn my foster mum when someone comes to the door but as she says it is very short and sweet!

I am looking for a nice peaceful home with a steady routine with people who will give me time to settle down. I cope well with being left at home on my own. I could live with someone who worked fulltime providing I’m not left alone for longer than four hours without a break, either by hiring a dog walker, pet sitter, or coming home at lunch time etc. I would happily live with a confident and out-going dog as I am a follower rather than a leader and I enjoy their company when left alone. As I am an easy boy I would fit in well with a first time owner. My new guardians will need to give me a minimum of one hour of off-lead exercise daily in a park. While I am generally in good health I am on a special diet for raised liver enzmes. My foster mum says I am a real sweetie and absolutely no trouble who deserves lots of love and home comforts. And I couldn’t agree more.
