Ollie

 

Hello, my name is Ollie

I am an eight month old male, Boxer and Staffordshire Bull Terrier Crossbreed. I arrived at The Mayhew because my previous owners decided they no longer wanted me.

I am a confident and lively boy. Happy and outgoing I love to meet new people. I’m very friendly with everyone but I need to learn to control my enthusiasm and improve my manners when saying hello. I love children but care needs to be taken to prevent me knocking over little ones. I also love other dogs and enjoy running and playing with them in the park. I’m a very playful dog and I really enjoy playing with my toys. I am toilet trained and I know the basic commands too. It is not yet known how long I cope being left on my own so I’m currently looking for a home where there is someone around for most of the day.

I would like to find a home with an active person or family who have owned dogs before. Someone who will provide me with a minimum of one to two hours of off lead exercise every day in a park or open space and will continue my training and take me to training classes. I can live with other dogs providing they have been well trained and will be a good role model for me. Any children in my new home will need to be over seven years of age. With training I could live with a cat providing they are confident around dogs and will stand up to me otherwise I can't resist the temptation to play and chase.

If you are looking for a fun loving and outgoing dog then I’m the boy for you but please remember you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog; you'll be taking on a fourteen year commitment which must not be taken lightly.
