Tye

 

Hello my name is Tye

I’m a three year old male, Bullmastiff and Rottweiler Crossbreed. I arrived at The Mayhew because my previous owners felt they no longer had the time to look after me properly.

I am an affectionate and well-behaved dog. I know all the usual commands which I respond well to. I am house trained and I can be left on my own for three to four hours without any problems. I’m a very friendly boy and I get on well with children of all ages. I can sometimes be aloof with strangers but if you take the time to get to know me you’ll quickly discover my affectionate side. I also get on well with other dogs. My two favourite things in life are going for walks in the park and food –with a treat in your hand you’ll be able to convince me to do almost anything.

I am now looking for a new home with someone who will provide me with a minimum of one hour of off lead exercise every day. I would be happy to live with first time dog owners who are looking for a large breed of dog providing they are fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved. I would also suit someone who works part-time. I can live with another dog providing we are the right match and I could live with a dog-confident cat who is used to being around dogs. I can also live with young children. As gorgeous as I am please remember if you're interested in offering me a home you'll be taking on a twelve year commitment, which must not be taken lightly. You'll also have to put up with my slobber!
