I have somebody coming to see me in my foster home

 

Hello, my name is Reggie

I’m a seven year old male Springer Spaniel. I arrived at The Mayhew because my owners were moving to a property which didn't allow pets.

I am a friendly, confident and fun-loving boy. I'm toilet trained, I know all the usual commands which I respond well to and I can be left on my own for a few hours without any problems. I love going to the park and I have a good recall off my lead. I get along well with other dogs but I'm not overly interested in them, I'd much rather be playing fetch with a tennis ball. I am very friendly boy who is good with strangers and I always greet people with a waggy tail but I don't like vets! I'm very playful and I love my toys which I like to carry around with me. I'm also very affectionate. I love being stroked and I especially enjoy a good ear massage. I also enjoy being groomed. I am a healthy chap but I need to be fed a high fibre diet.

I am now looking for a forever home with an experienced owner who has researched my breed type. I'm looking for an all adult home without visiting young children and I will need to be the only pet in the household. My new owners will be expected to provide me with a hour of off lead exercise in the park everyday. If you’re interested in adopting me you will need to be fully prepared for the hard work and long-term commitment involved in caring for a dog, which must not be taken lightly.
