Each year, The Mayhew Animal Home is choc-a-bloc with homeless animals desperately in need of our help and shelter from the cold.

These dogs, cats and rabbits are turned out through no fault of their own and we strive to always do our best for them, providing them shelter and warmth and healing those who have been injured or mistreated.

As a small charity, we are solely dependent on the help of compassionate people to ensure we can keep our doors open 365 days of the year and take in those animals who have nowhere else to go.

• £50.75 will cover 24 hour board, heating, food and veterinary care for a vulnerable resident.
• £75.65 will provide emergency treatment for the animals dumped at our doors.
• £225.20 will allow our rapid response team to attend urgent cases of animal welfare over the next few months.

Case story: Milly and Molly

Tiny Milly and Molly were rescued by our team of Animal Welfare Officers after they were discovered shut up in a filthy cardboard box hidden in the home of a backstreet breeder. They were part of a litter of seven, three of whom sadly died from malnutrition and disease. The Mayhew has been nursing these pups back to health and will continue to care for all their needs until they are healthy and well enough to find new homes.
