Find Me A Home - Ginni
Ginni is a two-year-old female, mixed breed who arrived at The Mayhew having been rescued from Romania. She is an independent dog who is very intelligent and knows commands such as “sit”, “wait”, “come here”, “leave it” but responds only if she wants to or is tempted with food.
Ginni enjoys trips out in the car and her daily off lead walks in the park. She will happily meet and greet other dogs. She is well behaved in the house, loves watching what’s going on in the kitchen, keeps you company but also enjoys being left in peace whilst sleeping on her bed. She is toilet trained and can be left alone for upto four hours without any problems.
Ginni does have bit of a stubborn streak, she likes to get her own way and will growl and snap if not handled correctly. This is partially due to a medical condition she suffers from - arthritis of her spine. She can be brought to The Mayhew for free treatment for any problems relating to this existing condition. Ginni needs a kind and confident experienced dog-owner to work on her behaviour in a consistent way. She has a tendency to become a one person dog so ideally would suit a single owner or understanding couple, with no children visiting.
Affectionate Ginni is looking for an experienced guardian, who will have the time and patience to help this beautiful girl settle in and feel secure. Her new guardians will be taking on a thirteen-year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.
If you're interested in offering Ginni a loving, fully committed, lifetime home please visit The Mayhew Animal Home any Tuesday to Friday between 12 - 3.30pm or Saturdays 1 - 3.30pm. For further information on our adoption procedure please email lisa@mayhewanimalhome.org.
