Mayhew International - A New Website
Mayhew International moved up to the next level this month with the launch of its all new website.
At 2 pm on May Day www.mayhewinternational.org went live. In addition to general background about the mission and aims of Mayhew International, it gives a detailed look into specific projects, elements of which include:
Kabul Clinic and Shelter: Mayhew International has helped build a clinic for the Veterinary Science Faculty of Kabul University, completed in 2005, providing students with a practical training facility as well as essential veterinary care for the sick and injured animals of the general population. Mayhew International has also been working in conjunction with a small animal shelter in Kabul, recently helping many animals as well as people, in particular military personnel from the US and UK who befriended or rescued stray animals while serving in Afghanistan.
Moscow Neutering Programme: Through its close contact with local rescue groups in the Russian capital, Mayhew International has become increasingly aware of the large number of apartment shelters in Moscow in need of assistance. In response, we currently offer a neutering programme for dogs and cats in the care of private apartment shelters.
The website also provides information for international vets wishing to apply to the International Veterinary Training Programme, a ground-breaking initiative to train vets from abroad at The Mayhew's UK premises, teaching them vital skills such as high-voulme sterilisation techniques that they can then apply upon returning home.
Mayhew International’s new website will be regularly updated to keep supporters fully in the know about our work across the four corners of the globe. To find out more about our projects abroad or about any aspect of Mayhew International please click here |
