Find Rane a home
I’m Rane, I’m a 4- year-old, semi-long-haired female. I found myself at the Mayhew some time ago after I was discovered as a stray by the RSPCA; they brought me here to help me find a new home. I was in a lot of pain when I was found due to my collar getting caught around my legs but I’m doing well now.
I like to give the impression that I’m a bit of a loner and it’s true that I’m happy in my own company, but I recently spent time on foster care with a quiet, laid back couple and – just between you and me – I enjoyed the experience! They knew how to approach me – nice and calmly – and soon found out that I can’t resist a little stoke on the forehead. Before I knew it, I’d forgotten all about my wariness of humans and found myself sleeping on their bed, investigating the place and generally feeling very much at home.
I’d love to find myself another nice and peaceful household to live in, one without any children or other animals, as I like to be friends with others but only on my own terms.
I’ve got special needs compared to other cats as I’m FIV positive. This doesn’t mean that I’m sick all the time, I’m just a little more vulnerable to infection than my fellow felines. I would like a new home where I can go outside but would also be happy with a patio or roof terrace.
If you think you can offer me a loving, fully-committed, lifetime home or would like to know more about me, please contact The Mayhew Animal Home or visit during viewing times.
