The Mayhew Animal Home Easter Fair

The Mayhew Animal Home

Sunday 28th March, 1pm - 4pm

Join us at The Mayhew for a day of Easter fun. There will be lots of fun activities during the day, including an Easter egg hunt, yummy cakes, fancy dress competition, plants for sale and children's crafts. There will also be the opportunity to have your photo taken with one of our animals.

Fancy dress competition - 2pm (£1 to enter)

Easter egg hunt - 3pm

Entry:

Adults - £2.00

Senior Citizens and under 16s £1.50

The Mayhew Animal Home Sponsored Dog Walk & Dog Show

Hampstead Heath, at the Bandstand by the Highgate Road Entrance

Sunday 25th April, 10am - 4pm

The Mayhew Sponsored Dog Walk and Dog Show is taking place on Sunday 25th April on Hampstead Heath, London. It’s all set to be a fantastic day with lots of fun for all dog lovers! We will be setting off on the 4 mile walk at 12.30.Once walkers have completed the route, they will receive a certificate and goody bag! This annual event is always lots of fun and we will be bringing along some of our current four-legged residents so they can enjoy the day out too. There will also be other dog activities during the day including Temptation Alley and an agility ring.

If you would like to take part please call or email for a registration form. The Sponsored Dog Walk is open to everyone, including those without dogs, so if you have any friends or family who may like to take part please let them know about the event.

Fun Dog Show

We will also be having a fun dog show on the day which will include categories such as Waggiest Tail and Best Veteran. We will be holding the show at 10.30am, so if you would like to enter your dog into one or more of the groups, please sign up from 10am on the day.

We will be having some special guests judging the dog show, including BBC Dog Borstal’s Robert Alleyne and Emma B.

10.30 - Handsomest Male, 11.15 – Best Friends – for children under 11yrs, 10.45 – Best Veteran (7rs +), 11.30 – Waggiest Tail, 11.00 - Prettiest Female, 11.45 – Dog that judge would like to adopt

Entry costs £2 per category. Winners receive a rosette and Lily’s Kitchen goody bag, full of handmade organic dog food.

The Mayhew's Big Doggy Paddle

Willesden Sports Centre - Donnington Road, London NW10 3QX

Saturday 8th May, 6.30pm - 9.30pm

The Mayhew is holding a fun sponsored swim and we are looking for peopleto get involved and get paddling for pets. From 1 length to 100, we’re looking for people to make a splash for cash and help raise money for the homeless animals in our care.

The British 10K London Run

Central London, Starting at Hyde Park

Sunday 11th July, 9.35am

Up for a challenge? We are looking for people to take part in the British 10K London Run for The Mayhew.

During this unique event participants will get to run past many of London’s most iconic landmarks including St Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and many more.Sponsorship raised from the event will help us to continue our vital work rescuing and rehoming hundreds of animals each year. So if you think you have got what it takes then please get in touch. We are also looking for people to run for our sister charity - Mayhew International, so if you would like to help support our work in countries such as India, Russia and Nepal, please let us know.

Runners are given two hours to complete the 10K/6 mile course, so beginners are welcome!

Our runners will receive a Mayhew t-shirt, timing chip, free race photo download and a personal tour of The Mayhew. You will also be given a fundraising pack, giving you lots of information and advice.

So put on your running shoes, set yourself a challenge and help the animals at The Mayhew at the same time!
